Join Julie for a Sound Bath that is a deeply-immersive, full-body experience that intentionally uses sound to nurture your mind, body and spirit. The experience begins with lying down or seated in a comfortable position, often with a blanket, pillow or anything else to make it a comfortable experience. After a few minutes of a meditative focus on the breath, the remainder of the experience is filled with different sounds and frequencies using Crystal Singing Bowls, Drums and various Chimes. Listening and feeling these sound vibrations thru the body will lead you into a state of calm and relaxation nurturing physical, mental and energetic well-being.

Preschool is off to a great start here at Tilden! So much learning through play happens in every classroom.

Here are some examples of what they are learing:
-Stacking/Balancing Owls-- working together with persistence!
-Self Portraits with mirror--noticing details (eye color, hair shape, facial features). Looking in the mirror while guiding their hand to draw helped integrate vision and movement. Translating a real image into a drawn representation strengthened their abstract thinking. Some of them noticed and drew facial expressions, connecting art to their feelings
-Tempo & rhythm recognition: Scarves give children a visible, flowing way to express whether music is fast, slow, bouncy, or smooth.

Rolled Sugar Thins will be ready for kids to paint original designs using food coloring and paint brushes. Kids and parents will mix, shape and bake the famous Peanut Butter Balls. Already mixed and ready for shaping will be Chocolate Mint, Peppernuts, Sugar Drop to be dipped in assorted sprinkles and finally multi-colored Spritz cookies.
