Fun, Friends & Fitness provides opportunities for individuals with disabilities to enjoy activities designed especially for them.  These inclusive programs are sponsored in partnership with Community Education and the Hastings Sharks for persons 18 and over.

Special Olympics Minnesota
Special Olympics Minnesota offers children and adults with intellectual disabilities year-round sports training and competitions. Through Special Olympics’ athletic, health and leadership programs, people with intellectual disabilities transform themselves, their communities, and the world.  For more information about Special Olympics, please visit Special Olympics Minnesota

Hastings Sharks Registration

  • Athletes must be at least 8 years old

  • Attending the competitions is required unless it is the first year the athlete is trying the sport. Not interested in competing? Watch for our recreational sports.

  • Before registering please read the Hastings Sharks Code of Conduct

  • Participation is contingent on completed forms.  You will be notified if your paperwork for Special Olympics is incomplete.

  • A Unified Partner teams up with a Special Olympics athlete.  Unified Partners should plan to attend practice with their athletes.

  • Athletes will never be turned away if they are unable to pay the participation fee. Please select the appropriate fee level during registration to request a scholarship. Your request is confidential.

Ability 2 Believe
At Ability 2 Believe we believe the sky's the limit when it comes to our loved ones! We offer a sports program for special needs children, with a goal of helping children feel confident with their athletic and teamworking skills. This programming is open to any child in grades K-4 on an IEP or 504 plan. Parent participation is required as needed. Find more information about our mission at Ability 2 Believe.
